I like this knife so much and was saddened they are discontinuing it, I bought two. However I made the mistake of purchasing the first one at a different business.
The weight isn't too heavy, and doesn't take a lot of space in my pockets. The blade, although not very symmetric, is very sharp and centered.
A common complaint I heard is the blade texture is too smooth to grip when wet. For my purposes I like the smoothness because I am not a first responder or work in a related field and I do not wear any related clothing. Because I am just a civilian, the blade handle is smooth enough to not put too much wear on my pants. The texture is relatively rougher than a well worn full size griptilian grip scale. Again, I like it so much I bought two.
Do not worry about the tight action, it will wear in and open and close smoothly with minimal blade play. let it break in for a little while and then put a little bit of oil in the action.
customer service: was top notch, this is the first time going through Knife Works. I was concerned about the placement of the engraving and so I called them. They gave me further instructions on how to describe how I want to engrave. I asked for a mock up and they were nice enough to give me one to check. Ultimately I made a powerpoint image of what I wanted and gave it to them and they used it and were able to engrave it exactly how I wanted.
Their prices are also very competitive. I shopped around and theirs was the lowest.
Shipping was fast. I ordered Tuesday afternoon, finalized the engraving Wednesday and shipped it out that day.
The webbing cutter is very sharp but i have not tried it yet but carefully feeling the edge I can tell it will cut when I need it to.
