With its under-2-inch blade, the Launch 9 may look like a smaller version of our best-selling Launch 2, but it has its own appeal. Its compact size makes it easy to carry—and appropriate in a variety of situations where you wouldn’t pull out a more aggressive-looking knife. Built of the same upgraded materials as the rest of the Launch series, the Launch 9’s blade has a “working” finish—somewhat rougher than stonewashed to easily hide the scuffs that a working knife earns on the job.

Small but mighty
The Kershaw Launch 9 is a mini powerhouse. The size, combined with the deep pocket carry clip is a perfect knife for an EDC. Kershaw sent the knife to me razor sharp. The action on this little auto is snappy and commanding. There is ZERO play in the blade, while it’s closed or open and locked in place. I get a smile every I press the button and it snaps to attention. The working finish on the blade will wear well over time. This knife is also super light. You barely notice it in your pocket or in your hand. Pick one of these up, you won’t be disappointed.
