Big honking hunk of steel
Make no mistake this is not a pretty bowie this is not a pretty knife. This is a big honking hunk of steel it's thick it's unwieldy and it's heavy and it's meant to be that way. It's full tank the finish of it is not perfect there are blemishes in the brass there are marks on the micarta it still feels good in the hand. The edge required a little TLC when received there was a burr that needed to be dealt with but after 30 minutes on a stone it's definitely a workable edge. The sheath quality is adequate just make sure that you soak it in a leather moisturizer or wipe it down with some mink oil allow it to sink in and then apply more. Because this leather is definitely dried out wherever it's been stored. Now of course also take into account this blade is made in Pakistan so I was happy to see mine was completely straight the bevels were even and the handle was comfortable which is really all you can hope for and still be pleasantly surprised. I would buy it again it's a big honking hunk of steel
