I really do like this knife however, there are a number of issues that should not be on a brand-new knife. The "able" lock sticks badly which I am hoping will go away after use. There is a scratch and a stain on the blade. The blade itself has uneven sharpening but is extremely sharp out of the box. I plan on this being a "hard use" knife so the scratch and stain dont bother me too badly; just wanted me to be the one to scratch it first...

Great blade design and size for a mid-sized EDC knife. Love the purple starburst color and texture on the handle. For what you get the price is a deal (or perhaps steal).

The MK1 G2 is one of the best knives that I've ever seen and owned. The purple G10 scales are contoured and are not too aggressive yet fid my hand vey well with no hot spots. The action is awesome. The lock has the simplicity of a switch but with great strength. Blade lock up is perfect. The blade when closed is centered.
The blade has a very good shape and made of a great steel. The clip let's the knife slip into the pocket with out snagging. All the boxes are checked for me with this knife. You can't get much better than this knife.

Trying to balance out all of the features that I wanted in my "perfect" EDC knife took time, trial, error & money. But when the Ritter was delivered, I knew that I had what I was looking for. A full-sized, nicely balanced knife with a well designed, useful blade shape, top-notch steel, dependable & rugged locking system (a priority), and excellent fit & finish. Add to that the good-looking & "grippy"G-Mascus scales, manageable weight (lighter than listed and great in the pocket) and a clip that looks and works better than most after-markets. It deploys easily (though it’s definitely sprung…), feels great in-hand, and it cuts. Most of all, it cuts. Though its got excellent looks, this isn't a beauty queen, nor is it a fidget toy. This is a great, working knife – well worth the money and highly recommended.

The large DOUG RITTER RSK MK1-G2 with G-MASCUS purple G-10 handle is now my best knife. I am very pleased with the quality, style, performance, and materials of this knife.
When the knife is in my pocket it is very secure and sits deep in the pocket, the only think that can be seen is the clip.
The Able lock is a cool idea and lets me open the knife several ways. Once the blade is open the lock up is tight, there is no movement at all. The 20CV blade is very sharp and well centered in the handle when closed. My original thought was to get the black knife but it was out of stock, however, I'm glad that I got the purple one, it's a good looking knife.
Performance and good looks, can't ask for more that in a knife.

Beautiful knife. Came very sharp. Action felt gritty compared to my decka gen 2. Sent it back to hogue and came back a little smoother, but blade was off center
