Who is Knifeworks.com?

Knifeworks.com is an authorized knife retailer based in Columbia, Louisiana, selling online since 1998. We are an authorized dealer for every brand we carry — Benchmade, Spyderco, CIVIVI, Kershaw, ESEE, Case, Cold Steel, CRKT, TOPS, Boker Plus, and dozens more — which means every knife ships with full manufacturer warranty coverage from day one.

Do you have a physical store I can visit?

Yes — you are welcome to visit us in person. Our showroom is located at 7009 Highway 165, Columbia, LA 71418. The facility features a 10,000-square-foot showroom with an extensive selection of knives, tools, and gear available to see and handle before you buy.

Can I place an order by phone?

Yes. Call 888-225-9775 during business hours and our team can assist you with placing an order or checking stock. Credit card payments must be processed through our website at checkout. For money order, bank wire, or Western Union payments, our team will walk you through the process by phone.

What is the Knifeworks.com privacy policy?

We will never share or sell your personal information with third parties — period. We will not send unsolicited email or spam. The only communications you will receive are order confirmations, shipping notifications, and marketing emails you explicitly opted into (which you can unsubscribe from at any time).

When I make an online purchase from Knifeworks.com, is it secure?

Yes. Knifeworks.com uses SSL encryption to protect all data transmitted during checkout. Your payment information is processed through a PCI-compliant payment gateway and is never stored on our servers. We do not share your personal information or email address with anyone.

Does Knifeworks.com sell seconds or factory-defect merchandise?

No. We sell first-quality merchandise only. Every knife that ships from our warehouse in Columbia, Louisiana is inspected before it leaves our door. If a product arrives damaged or not as described, contact us at 888-225-9775 and we will make it right.

Ordering & Payment

What forms of payment does Knifeworks.com accept?

We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Sezzle for buy-now-pay-later. We also accept money orders — call 888-225-9775 to place a money order and confirm the total.

International customers may also pay by Western Union or bank wire transfer — contact help@knifeworks.com for instructions.

Are automatic knives, OTF knives, and switchblades legal to order?

Automatic knives, out-the-front (OTF) knives, and switchblades are legal to purchase in many U.S. states but restricted or prohibited in others. Knife laws vary by state, county, and municipality — it is the buyer’s responsibility to know the laws in their jurisdiction before ordering.

Knifeworks.com sells these products in compliance with federal law and does not ship them to jurisdictions where they are known to be prohibited.

International note: Automatic knives, assisted-opening knives, switchblades, daggers, and butterfly knives (balisongs) cannot be shipped to Canada. Many EU countries also restrict or ban these types. You are responsible for knowing your country’s import laws.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

We process and ship orders quickly, so cancellation windows are limited:

  • Domestic orders: Contact us as soon as possible at 888-225-9775 or help@knifeworks.com. If the order has not yet been picked and packed, we can cancel or modify it at no charge. Once an order is “Ready to Ship” it cannot be changed.
  • International orders: Can be changed within two business days of placing the order, or before the status changes to “Ready to Ship.” Orders already packaged that are cancelled will be charged a 25% cancellation fee plus any costs incurred (large-quantity or specially ordered items only).
Tip: Call 888-225-9775 immediately — the sooner you contact us, the more likely we can catch it before it ships.
How do I make a warranty claim on a knife I purchased from Knifeworks?

As an authorized dealer, Knifeworks can assist with warranty inquiries for any brand we carry:

  • Benchmade LifeSharp: Send your Benchmade directly to Benchmade’s Oregon City facility for free sharpening, cleaning, oiling, and adjustment at any time. $10 covers insured two-way return shipping. No charge for the service — ever.
  • Victorinox (kitchen cutlery): Covered by the Victorinox lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Call us at 888-225-9775 for assistance.
  • All other brands: Contact us at 888-225-9775 or help@knifeworks.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We will direct you to the correct manufacturer warranty process.
Warranty coverage is for defects in materials and workmanship only — it does not cover normal wear, misuse, or damage from improper use on any brand.

Domestic Shipping

How does Knifeworks.com ship orders, and what are the shipping charges?

Free ground shipping on orders over $99 to the 48 contiguous United States via UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail. All orders ship from our warehouse in Columbia, Louisiana.

  • Hawaii and Alaska: USPS Priority Mail
  • Expedited shipping: Available at checkout or by calling 888-225-9775
When will my order be shipped?

Most orders placed before 2:00 PM CST on a business day ship the same day. All in-stock orders ship same or next business day from Columbia, Louisiana.

Out-of-stock or backordered items ship as soon as they arrive from the manufacturer. Call 888-225-9775 to check availability before ordering.

Are there extra shipping charges on oversized items?

On rare occasions, actual carrier charges for oversized or heavy items may exceed the estimated cost at checkout. If this applies to your order, we will contact you before shipping to confirm the difference.

Swords and large fixed blades can only ship within the United States via ground transport — no air shipping. Call 888-225-9775 for a quote on oversized orders.

International Orders

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — Knifeworks.com has been shipping internationally for over 20 years. All international orders are handled by our international sales representative if you have any question or concern please email us at help@knifeworks.com

Requirements for all international orders:

  • Minimum order: $100.00
  • Billing and shipping address must be in the same country
  • First-time credit card customers will be emailed to verify the purchase — no exceptions
  • Additional weight charges will be applied once the order is processed
  • Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable

Customers are responsible for knowing the import laws of their country. Knifeworks does not calculate international duties or taxes.

We no longer ship to the United Kingdom due to credit card restrictions.
What are the international shipping rates and delivery times?

Rates below are base rates — additional weight fees will be charged once the order is processed. All shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

Are there brands or products that cannot be shipped internationally?

Yes. The following brands cannot be exported outside the USA due to manufacturer policy — no exceptions:

  • Benchmade Knife Company
  • Zero Tolerance
  • Leatherman

The following products cannot ship internationally regardless of destination:

  • Swords
  • Mace and pepper spray
  • All Sentry Solution products
  • Flammable substances (butane, lighter fluid)
  • Watches

Canada-specific restrictions (in addition to the above):

  • Automatic knives, assisted-opening knives, switchblades
  • Double-edged (dagger) knives
  • Balisong / butterfly knives

European Union: Laws vary by country. Commonly restricted: switchblades, gravity knives, butterfly knives, push daggers, and disguised weapons. Many EU countries restrict blades over 12 cm (≈4.7"). You are responsible for knowing your country’s import laws.

We no longer ship to the United Kingdom due to credit card restrictions.
What international payment methods do you accept?

International orders can be paid by:

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover — processed online through our website only
  • Western Union — our sales representative will contact you with updated totals and instructions
  • Bank wire transfer — our sales representative will provide wire instructions upon receipt of your order

If selecting money order at checkout, note your preferred payment method in the customer notes field. Orders with no response after 14 days will be cancelled. Contact: help@knifeworks.com

Returns, Refunds & Disputes

What is the return policy at Knifeworks.com?

We accept returns on brand new, unused merchandise with all original packaging and a copy of the invoice. Used or incomplete returns cannot be accepted.

  • Within 30 days: Full refund to original payment method
  • 31–60 days: Store credit
  • After 60 days: Returns not accepted

Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

Received a damaged or incorrect item? Call 888-225-9775 immediately — we will resolve it at no cost to you regardless of the return window.
What happens if I file a chargeback or payment dispute?

Please contact our support team first before filing a chargeback. We resolve issues the same business day — call 888-225-9775 or email help@knifeworks.com.

Customers who file a chargeback before giving us the opportunity to resolve the issue will have their account permanently closed and will no longer be able to place orders with Knifeworks.com.
