They are designed to remove scratches left by the coarser diamond stones and further the refinement of your edge. The highly specialized technology needed to plate such fine diamonds is proprietary to our supplier, DMT, making these incredibly fine stones truly unique. Glass platens are mounted on the opposite side of the handles for use with the diamond lapping film of your choice.
