Product Description
Case Axe Handle Lockback 47545 Ebony Wood (B.R.712024 DAM)
This vintage American Case Axe Handle Lockback, which is handcrafted in the United States, weighs about 4.2 ounces and is about 4 3/8 inches when folded or closed. The handle has a satin stainless steel arrowhead inlay shield and is made of silky ebony wood. One piece of machined stainless steel makes up the liners and integrated bolsters. The 3 3/8" Locking Clip blade used in this knife has a nail nick, a flat taper grind, and a plain edge. Damascus Steel is the material of the blade, which is stamped with pattern number B.R.712024 DAM. Hundreds of layers of strong and soft steel are forged and folded together to create Damascus Steel, which is subsequently etched with acid. The steel develops a discernible pattern as a result of the acid's varying speeds of layer dissolution. More flexibility and hardness are provided by the alternating layers.
Note: Because we use hand-crafting and natural materials your knife may not look exactly as depicted.
