Product Description
Jake Hoback Enoch HOB024, 3.125" CPM-20CV Gray Stonewash Plain Blade, Black G-10 Handle
Designing this knife was a challenge. Jake has spent the last 20 years designing and making knives with only one thing in mind... cost doesn't matter! Well, if you've been in that mindset for years, it's rather difficult to look at something and think "OK how do I keep this design within my boundaries but get the cost down?" He spent a lot of time thinking through how they make things and their materials, process and speed.
So through some very creative manufacturing processes, using G10 a lot instead of titanium, and using some off-sized materials that are less expensive, he was able to bring the cost of this knife down substantially.
Another goal was to design this knife to be ageless. He wanted to use a drop point with a swedge, which is a very usable blade shape that lends itself well to just about any task. He kept the tip of the knife in line with the end of the handle, which gives it superb handling and a solid feel in the hand while cutting.
