Product Description
The Benchmade Meatcrafter 15505 is the original outdoor Meatcrafter — a 4.01-inch 154CM trailing point fixed blade with a dark olive Santoprene handle, built for field dressing and processing harvested animals in the conditions hunters actually work in: cold, wet, and often one-handed.
The blade is 154CM stainless, satin finished. 154CM is a proven workhorse alloy for field use — it holds a practical working edge through a full field dressing session, resists the corrosion from blood and organic acids that accelerates surface rust on lower-grade stainless, and sharpens quickly on a ceramic rod or leather strop between tasks. In the field, where a diamond hone isn't in the pack, 154CM's easy sharpening behavior matters. The trailing point profile sweeps the tip above the centerline, concentrating the cutting edge in the belly — the correct geometry for long, controlled strokes when skinning and breaking down carcasses, where tip control near the body cavity is critical. At 4.01 inches, this is sized for deer, elk, and smaller game field dressing without the unnecessary length of the 6.14-inch 4050 Cuisine Solutions Meatcrafter. The dark olive Santoprene handle is rubber-overmolded for positive grip with wet, bloody, or gloved hands. A sheath is included for safe carry while moving through the field.
Ships same or next business day from Knifeworks in Columbia, Louisiana.
