Fallkniven F1L3Gmm Next Generation (FNF1L3GMM) 4.05" 3G Steel Drop Point Plain Blade, Maroon Micarta Handle
The 2017 special edition of the F1/3G featuring maroon Micarta is truly an exceptional model. This edition showcases a distinct and detailed laser engraving of the JAS 39 Griffin NG, representing the Next Generation. Alongside this, it proudly displays Fällkniven's iconic oval logo, which has been a symbol of their brand for over two decades.
The handle medallion is made of nickel silver and coated with a thick layer (approximately 30 my) of 24k gold, surpassing the usual 2-3 my thickness. The guard, tubular rivet, and handle rivets are also crafted from nickel silver to uphold the exquisite quality of this full tang knife.
Accompanied by an all-black leather sheath in an elegant gift box, Fallkniven planned to produce only a limited number of these knives. The first samples will consist of about one hundred pieces for each kind, which will be available in spring/summer 2017.
The reason for such a small run is due to the fact that this knife, following the esteemed Loveless design approach, is meticulously handmade. Crafted from thier finest steel known as 3G – a vanadium-molybdenum steel renowned for its outstanding edge retention – each blade boasts our signature convex edge, setting Fällkniven apart as pioneers in this specialized technique.
