The Dashi has been a staple of Hoback Knives for many years, made from time to time with many different kinds of blade materials from titanium to carbon fiber. The newest edition is made from CPM-20CV and sports the new "Squeeze" Velcro sheath.
Kiridashi knives are from Japan originally, where they were traditionally used as a small pocketable utility knife for general work.
The "Squeeze" gives you the ability to put the knife anywhere you can attach with Velcro -- to the side of a filing cabinet or a refrigerator or the visor of your car -- anywhere that a knife within immediate reach might come in handy!
