Crafted for maximum efficiency, the Atmos features a 3.0-inch modified drop point blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The blade is finished with a clean satin polish to reduce glare and a hollow grind for surgical slicing performance. Deployment is exceptionally fast and fluid thanks to the manual KVT ball-bearing system, allowing the blade to glide open with a simple pull on the flipper. The handle is a hybrid of Black G-10 with a Carbon Fiber overlay, chamfered and smoothed to ensure it slides in and out of the pocket without snagging. To maintain its ultralight 2.0-ounce profile, Kershaw utilized an inset liner lock, providing rock-solid security without the unnecessary bulk of full liners.
