The KIV4484A2 is Vanguard version of the Krye, a collaboration model with TK Knives. TK knives grew out of the need of a pair of survival adventurers and artists who were in search for a tough yet easy to carry everyday use knife. David Michalik and Robert Chromcak began their custom knife production to make folding knives serving the same duty as fix bladed knives, but in a compact package. Their experiences as developers of high-tech machining tools and artists helped TK knives excel in both function and style. Based on the TK Knives Kyre series, created over two years of rigorous tests, this is a compact knife with elegant stylish look and capable of striking performance. A remarkable package of style and power, Kyre is a fascinating combination of the techno-age and traditional values.

The Vanguard Series Krye features a wide 3.43" VG10 blade with a drop point shape with a satin finish. The bearing pivot system allows for smooth blade opening, as with all Kizer knives. The handle is made from milled green G10 and is equipped with a liner-lock mechanism. The Kyre can be deployed by the flipper or additional thumb slot opening and features a titanium spring pocket clip.
