The same-named Italian comic book serves as the inspiration for the 999/LG Diabolik Special Edition tossing knife. In the majority of comic book issues and the 2021 movie, the main character of the comic, Diabolik, wields this throwing dagger. Maserin made the collectible ME999 replica in celebration of the game's 50th anniversary, basing it completely on the protagonist's main weapon.

This throwing knife has a genuine 24 karat gold engraving and an unsharpened satin N690 stainless steel spear point blade. Grooves on the slim wood handle improve comfort and grip. The belt-looped, black nylon sheath from Diabolik has gold lettering on it. In comparison to the original 999 model, this special edition variant is slightly larger.
