Product Description
SKIF Griffin II is a new generation of one of the most popular model from 400 Series. The shape and purpose of this knife are still EDC, which is so much versatile, that it will be suitable for any outdoor activity you can imagine. The new steel 9Cr18MoV, which contains more carbon and chrome than 8Cr13MoV, has much more corrosion resistance and hardness.
Flat grinds go 1/3 from the spine, which in combination with swedge and riffling provide wonderful cutting and piercing abilities.
The Stonewash finish is a good protection from scratches and other wear marks. There are two ways of pushing the blade open – a thumb stud and a flipper tab. The flipper forms something like a ramp for a hand, which helps in case of the forceful piercing. The blade opens very smoothly, thanks to the ball bearing system. The Frame Lock provides a reliable lock up to the blade when in use. The main advantage of this knives' new generation is riffling on the spine, handle, flipper, and even locking portion of the frame. The handle scales are manufactured from a durable and lightweight G-10, that provides a secure grip in wet hands or gloves. A handle also contains a lanyard hole and a pocket clip.
In general, the new generation of Griffin knife is a fresh look at a time proved classics.
