The "Small Model" designation, SM, refers to the Smith & Wesson Mini SWBLOP3SM model, which is a scaled-down version of the original Black Ops 3 series. The SM has distinctively textured aluminum scales atop black finished steel liners with a robust liner lock tab, just like the full-size model. A side safety feature and a tip-down carry pocket clip are attached to the handle. The blade has a notched thumb ramp and a swedge spine. Although the ambidextrous flipper tab can be used to enable the aided opening mechanism for smooth deployment, most people will find that the thumb studs work better for opening.
