The Spyderco Sage™ 5 Lightweight C123PGY is an elite addition to Spyderco’s specialty steel lineup, featuring the legendary Micro-Melt® Maxamet®. Originally developed by Carpenter® Technology for the extreme demands of rolling steel billets, Maxamet is a super-hard tool steel that offers extraordinary wear resistance and edge-holding capabilities far beyond conventional stainless steels.

The 3.0" blade is full-flat ground to maximize cutting efficiency and showcase the fine grain structure of this industrial-grade material. The handle is injection-molded from Cool Gray FRN (fiberglass-reinforced nylon), the signature color of Spyderco’s Maxamet family. Designed for high-performance EDC, it features nested skeletonized stainless steel liners, the rock-solid Compression Lock® mechanism, and Bi-Directional Texturing™ for a secure, slip-resistant grip.
