The TOPS El Chete Rocky Mountain Tread (ELCH01RMT) is purpose-built for serious chopping. Featuring a massive 12" blade made from 1/4" thick 1095 high carbon steel, this large-format fixed blade delivers the weight and strength needed for clearing brush, processing wood, and demanding outdoor tasks.

Despite its size, El Chete weighs under two pounds, offering power without unnecessary bulk. The blade is finished in TOPS’ Midnight Bronze coating, providing added corrosion resistance while giving each knife a slightly unique appearance.

The Rocky Mountain Tread handle uses layered Micarta construction, combining green canvas Micarta over black canvas Micarta for a thick, contoured grip that fills the hand like a small axe handle. Designed for control during heavy chopping, the handle offers durability and comfort under hard use.

An out-the-front Kydex-style sheath allows smooth, controlled draw without excessive upward pull. A retention strap secures the blade, and carry options include a rotating spring steel clip or leather dangler attachment for customizable belt carry.
