Product Description
Winkler Knives II, Belt Knife, 9 1/4 in. Fixed Blade, Carbon Blade, Tribal Maple HandleThis compact knife was designed to be a lightweight and high performance tool.
It quickly slices through heavy fibrous materials and deeply penetrates hard and soft substances without drifting off course.
This Belt Knife is made of 80CRV2 High carbon steel, this carbon steel can be compared to 5160 Carbon Steel, but has a better edge.
The blade finish is a Caswell treatment that helps to prevent rusting, while creating a dark, no-glare finish.
You'll notice as you use the WKII Belt knife the blade finish will wear and take on an antique appearance.
If you wish to speed up this process, you can lightly buff the surface of the carbon blade with #0000 steel wool.
The curly maple handles are designed with tribal decorations and are are textured to achieve a better grip.
There is also a small lanyard hole at the end of the tribal handle scales.
Winkler Knives II's unique sheath system was developed for, and with input from, Tier 1 SOF teams.
The sheath is ambidextrous, can be worn vertically or horizontally and can be adjusted to snuggly fit various blade thicknesses.
The formed Kydex sheaths are felt lined for silent draw and leather covered to make carry more comfortable.
A leather and a kydex belt loop are included.
The Belt knife comes with information on how to clean, oil, sharpen, and wear (sheath) your new knife!
Each item in the WKII collection is dated and signed off by not only one, but two authorized inspectors from Winkler Knives, II.
