The Benchmade 534BK Bugout Vapyr is a blacked-out version of the ultralight Bugout platform, built around a CPM MagnaCut blade and a 6061-T6 aluminum handle — a significant materials upgrade over the standard Bugout for carry users who want both corrosion resistance and top-tier edge retention without adding weight.

CPM MagnaCut is a nitrogen-alloyed stainless steel engineered specifically for knives, delivering corrosion resistance that rivals H1 alongside edge retention that competes with premium tool steels. The 3.25" drop point blade wears a black Cerakote finish throughout, and the flat grind makes it an efficient everyday slicer. At roughly 1.85 oz, the aluminum-handled Vapyr is marginally heavier than the FRN Bugout but still one of the lightest full-size EDC folders available.
