The Benchmade Claymore OTF 3370SGY is the black Grivory variant of the dagger combo Claymore platform — the same D2 tool steel, smoke gray coating, double-edged dagger blade with combo edge, and double-action OTF mechanism as the 3370SGY-1, in a black handle for buyers who prefer a more tactical, uniform-color carry profile over the 3370SGY-1's green Grivory.

The blade is D2, the high-carbon high-chromium tool steel used across the Claymore and Infidel OTF families — exceptional wear resistance and edge retention at the cost of regular oiling and drying to prevent surface oxidation. The smoke gray coating reduces reflectivity and provides surface protection between maintenance cycles. The double-edged dagger profile puts cutting geometry on both faces for maximum contact during thrust and draw strokes; the combo edge adds serrated sections for cord and webbing that resist a plain edge. Black Grivory (glass-filled nylon) handle scales are rigid, moisture-resistant, and provide a uniform low-profile tactical appearance.
