Product Description
Boker Applegate-Fairbairn Boot (120546) 4.65" 440C Satin Dagger Double Edge Blade, Black Delrin Handle with Brass Guard, Black Kydex Belt Sheath
For many years, Boker Applegate-Fairbairn knives have been a reliable option for special forces worldwide, and they have become a symbol of tactical knife excellence. The knife was created by Col. Rex Applegate and is based on the traditional Fairbairn-Sykes dagger from World War II. During the war, the elite soldier oversaw covert operations across Europe and even took on the role of personal bodyguard for President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He established the "School for Spies and Assassins" in what is now Camp David and taught close combat to Allied Special Forces. Subsequently, he carried on working as a trainer and consultant, penned multiple books on close quarters fighting, and started working on creating the ideal combat knife.
The Applegate-Fairbairn's more compact and useful counterpart was created using the same design principles as its larger sibling. Handle made of fiberglass reinforced Delrin with brass crossguard, 440C blade steel, and integrated stainless steel weights. The blade is hollow on one side and has the standard double conical dagger grind on the other. A big Tek-Lok and a Kydex sheath are included in the delivery.
