    Annual Damascus — Boker's Limited-Edition Collector Knife Program

    In 1980, Boker pioneered the first serial production of Damascus steel pocket knives. To mark the achievement, they released the first Annual Damascus — a limited-edition collector knife released once per year, with a production number on every piece. That tradition has continued every year since, making Boker's Annual Damascus series one of the longest-running limited-edition knife programs in the world.

    What makes each Annual Damascus distinct:

    • Unique Damascus pattern: Each year features a different Damascus forging style — ladder, raindrop, Chad Nichols Wavepool, twist, and others. No two years share the same blade pattern.

    Boker Plus's competitive advantage is its roster of external designers. Instead of developing all designs in-house, Boker Plus licenses signature designs from respected makers and produces them at production scale — giving buyers a custom-knife aesthetic at a fraction of custom pricing. The key collaborators:

    • Lucas Burnley (New Mexico): The most prolific name in the Boker Plus stable. Designer of the Kwaiken — a Japanese tanto-influenced folder that's become one of the brand's signature EDC designs — as well as the Kihon Bifold, BFF, and BRLW. Burnley also designed the 2026 Annual Damascus for Boker Germany. His designs are recognized by clean blade lines, minimal decoration, and Japanese aesthetic influence.
