In 1674, a small forge outside Remscheid registered a chestnut tree as its craftsman's mark. That tree became the symbol of a knife-making dynasty. By 1869, Heinrich Boker had established the manufactory in the "City of Blades" — the same facility that still produces Boker Germany's flagship knives today. Every Boker Germany knife that has left that building in over 150 years has carried the Tree Brand. Not as marketing. As a contract.
The original chestnut tree was struck by lightning in 1925. The wood was carved into the logo that still hangs at the entrance to the Boker Germany manufactory. The Tree Brand survived two world wars, multiple ownership transitions, and a century of industrialization by doing one thing: making knives people trust. Today Boker is Europe's largest manufacturer of sporting, tactical, and collector's knives — and the brand still operates from that same address.
