The TR-3 X1 is the upgraded version of Pro-Tech's most trusted tactical automatic, and the green fish scale variant is one of the most visually distinctive configurations in the lineup. The handle is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and anodized green, with a fish scale milling pattern cut directly into the frame. That pattern is not just cosmetic. It adds real purchase to the grip in any carry position, wet or dry, gloved or bare-handed. This is a knife that people who actually use knives reach for.
The 3.5-inch drop point blade is 154CM stainless steel with a stonewash finish that handles hard use without making it obvious. A false top swedge runs the spine, the tip is reinforced for penetration without sacrificing integrity, and thumb ramp jimping gives purchase right at the point of deployment. The coil spring fires with authority and the button lock engages with zero play. All hardware including the push button and pivot screws carry a blasted finish to keep the overall look cohesive. There is a lanyard hole if you run your gear that way.
At 8 inches overall and 3.9 ounces it is a full-size knife that still disappears in a pocket. The tip-up clip is right-hand fixed, designed to stay out of the way until you need it.
