It’s a little boss

I love this little axe. It’s lightweight and plenty able to do more than it is supposed to. However, for me personally, I would like it to be a bit more heavy in the head. It’s heavier in the handle. It’s a carving axe and I’m sure it’s thin in the head for carving purposes. But I wish it had more heft in the head for better chopping. I wrapped the neck with paracord. It feels better in my hands when choking up. The sculpted micarta handles give me mixed feelings. I find that I want my fingers to sit in the grooves but they’re not made for that purpose. They also aren’t the best when chopping heavily. The mask is nice but I’d like it to wrap around the head of the axe rather than around the blade. I feel like after a while it will eventually start to slip out. Again, these are my personal issues. I will note that this axe comes impressively sharp out of the box. And after a few passes on a honing ceramic sharpener, it becomes sharp enough to shave with. As I said It’s lightweight and plenty able to do more than it is supposed to. It cuts notches like a pro! Feather sticks awesomely! Processes wood with ease! I might have some nitpicks but at the same time, it’s worth every penny.
