The Wharncliffe blade profile is worth understanding if you have not carried one. Unlike a drop point or tanto, the Wharncliffe has a straight cutting edge that runs nearly parallel to the spine, terminating in a sharp, strong tip. That geometry makes it exceptionally precise for detail work, box cutting, food prep, and any task where tip control matters more than belly.
