The Pro-Tech Mordax started as a Ferrum Forge design — a collaboration between one of America's most respected custom knife makers and Pro-Tech's manufacturing precision. Ferrum Forge is known for clean ergonomics, thoughtful geometry, and designs that disappear into your hand rather than demanding attention in it. That foundation shows in everything about the Mordax. The MX106-NEXUS takes the platform and commits fully to a single aesthetic: all black, every component, executed with purpose. The handle is machined aluminum with a Nexus milled texture pattern — a geometric design that gives the handle real purchase without adding aggressive jimping that would fatigue the hand on extended carry.
The 3.75-inch drop point blade is CPM-MagnaCut with a DLC black finish and a flat grind. The drop point profile delivers a strong, versatile tip with plenty of belly for slicing — it is a working blade shape that performs across general EDC tasks, field use, and anything in between. MagnaCut's edge retention and corrosion resistance are both best-in-class for a production knife at this price, and the DLC coating adds another layer of durability and wear resistance on top of that. The flipper tab doubles as a finger guard when the blade is deployed. Deployment runs on ball bearings and the button lock engages with a clean, confident click. All hardware and pivot screws are DLC black to match the blade.
At 8.5 inches overall and 3.8 ounces the Mordax is a full-size folder that still vanishes in a pocket. The DLC black deep carry clip keeps the knife completely hidden below the pocket line, and a lanyard hole is built into the handle if you run one. There is nothing on this knife that does not belong.
