The GiantMouse ACE Farley Slipjoint was named after a bar — specifically the Farley Bar at Cavallo Point in Sausalito, California, perched at the northern base of the Golden Gate Bridge. Jens Ansø, Jesper Voxnaes, and Jim Wirth kept coming back for the live music, draft beer, and fresh oysters, and decided a knife this good deserved a name just as memorable. The brass handle version is the one that leans deepest into that ethos — heavy, warm, and unapologetically classic. This is the Farley for the person who wants something that feels like it has already been carried for thirty years, on the first day they pick it up.

The 2.75-inch drop point blade is ground from Böhler M390 MICROCLEAN stainless steel and brought to a clean satin finish — premium steel on a traditional slip joint platform that has never seen this level of material investment before. The spring was calibrated specifically to this knife — strong enough to hold the blade confidently in both positions without destroying your fingernails, with a two-step detent that makes every open and close feel deliberate and satisfying. Radiused spines on both blade and spring provide comfortable feel, and a stop pin on the close side prevents the blade from ever contacting the spring if closed hard. Dual nail nicks on both sides allow ambidextrous opening over bronze washers.

The solid brass handle scales are the defining feature of this variant — substantial in the hand at 3.5 oz, warm in tone, and built to develop a rich, personal patina over time with carry and use. No two brass Farleys will age the same way, which is exactly the point.
