Product Description
The slipjoint may be the most ubiquitous pocket knife ever made — your father probably carried one, your grandfather almost certainly did — and the GiantMouse ACE Farley is what happens when Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnaes ask themselves what a slipjoint should look like if it were designed today, by Danes, with no compromises. The answer is elegant, precise, and deeply considered. The Farley is not a nostalgia play. It is a genuinely modern interpretation of a genuinely classic format, and the green canvas micarta version is the one that carries best.
The 2.75-inch drop point blade is ground from Böhler M390 MICROCLEAN stainless steel and finished to a clean satin — the same premium steel you find on folders costing significantly more, applied here to a slip joint pattern that has never seen this level of material investment before. The spring was calibrated specifically for this knife — strong enough to hold the blade confidently in both open and closed positions without destroying your fingernails, with a satisfying two-step detent that makes every open and close feel intentional. The blade and spring both feature radiused spines for comfortable feel during use, and a stop pin on the close side prevents the blade from ever contacting the spring if the knife is closed hard. Dual nail nicks on both sides of the blade allow comfortable ambidextrous opening.
The green canvas micarta handle scales deliver a warm, textured grip that holds up in all weather and develops character over time. Precise machined cut-outs on each side of the jimping improve grip and ease of use. The reversible wire pocket clip carries tip-up for right or left side carry — an unusual feature on a slipjoint, and one that makes the Farley far more practical as an everyday carry than most traditional non-locking folders. This is a knife built to be passed down. As an authorized GiantMouse dealer, Knifeworks ships every ACE Farley fast.
