Product Description
Kershaw Lucha Balisong Butterfly - Stainless Steel (4.6" 14C28N SW) 5150
Do you flip? Do you want to flip? Then the Kershaw Lucha is for you. This is a high-quality butterfly knife that’s made in the USA. Next level materials include a 14C28N stainless steel blade and all-steel handle. Next level performance comes from Kershaw’s meticulous design. For instance, the blade tapers so that the top has more weight to pendulum around smoothly. The Lucha features dual KVT ball-bearing pivots for extra-easy operation. The handle has a rounded bevel so it rolls effortlessly in the hand. Even the latch is rounded so it never catches as you flip. The latch also features a positive stop so it never contacts the blade. The full-sized Lucha was designed with feedback from real flippers. This light, fast butterfly knife will jump, fly, and spin in your hands.
• Made-in-the-USA butterfly knife, designed with flippers in mind
• 14C28N stainless steel blade; increased nitrogen in the formula provides excellent corrosion resistance and hardenability
• Rounded handle bevels lets the Lucha roll smoothly in the hand
• Dual KVT ball-bearing pivots for ultra-smooth flipping
• Perfect size, weight, and design for flipping

Best value butterfly imho
I don't know how to edit my first review, so here is my 2 weeks or so later update.
This thing is a beast, and almost like having 2 knives in 1 with the option to remove the latch.
The slight rattling sound corrected itself after I dropped the knife from a foot or so on softer linoleum floor...I didn't do this on purpose it just happened by chance.
It flips like a totally different knife without the latch and latch pins, and a nice rubber band(I used a rubber tourniquet) will give you a makeshift safety device for keeping the knife closed...I haven't tried a paracord latch yet but I'm sure that's a nice option too.
If you have trouble removing the screws for the latch, use a blow dryer (I did multiple times for a minute or 2 on low before it broke the loctite) to heat up the loctite and if you strip the screw use the next torx size up(which was a t7 in this case) to unscrew the loctited screw.
This is my first quality balisong and I love it more now than I did right out of the box.
Highly recommend. -
Best value butterfly imho
Right out of the box I like it, and my only complaint is that the safe handle is slightly off center which may cause blade rub in the future.... I haven't heard of anyone else with this problem, so maybe an adjustment will fix the "problem ".... but so far so good...
Oh and also, something makes a slight tapping noise when I shake it while locked up open and closed..... if this is just a QC issue then it's still very minor and hopefully won't develop into any real issues with functionality. -
Kershaw lucha
Hell of a knife... I’d pick this knife over some higher end models benchmade has to be honest it’s a tank and its functional not just a flipper it is a great knife at a even better price and the bearing keep the handle wobble to a minimum but I’d recommend loctite the pivots will come loose as with most blades easy fix. Overall I will not be disappointed I love it and got a sheath custom made coming in I’m going to try and edc this for a bit for a long term review see how it holds up and how it carries day to day

Kershaw Lucha
I really like the Kershaw Lucha. It's a great balisong for the price. The knife is very smooth. If you don't like the clacking noise that would be your only drawback but you can eliminate most of it by removing the latch. In the end this is a great balisong at a great price.

Great retailer
Bought knife as a gift based on a recommendation. I don't know anything about balisongs otherwise. Looks and feels great though.
My experience with KnifeWorks however, was excellent. Lowest price I saw ($110 shipped no etching and $118 with blade etching vs $120 from everyone else with no etching), they etched the blade and shipped it in record time (ordered at night, and and was dropped off at USPS in less than 24hrs). Knife arrived 3 days later which was 3 days earlier than scheduled, and all this in the middle of the COVID panic. Color me impressed! -
