The tanto blade on this Bear & Son SS15 butterfly knife is coated in black, and the handles are made of polished stainless steel. A decent balisong knife needs to be strong and durable, which stainless steel offers. Since the handles are skeletonized, flipping them is easy and light. However, before doing so, we advise watching some training videos and possibly taping the blade's edge. For safely locking the knife closed or holding it open, the knife has a sturdy tail latch.
