The blade is M390, Böhler-Uddeholm's premium stainless that outperforms CPM-S30V and CPM-S35VN in edge retention and wear resistance. M390 holds a working edge significantly longer than lower-tier production steels at the cost of requiring a fine ceramic or diamond hone for home sharpening. The DLC coating adds surface hardness, reduces friction during deployment, and brings reflectivity to near zero for low-profile carry. The gray stonewash titanium handle scales develop a natural, distinctive finish that stands apart from anodized colors — stonewash titanium reads clean and professional without the overt color statement of bronze or blue anodizing.
