Product Description
The Churp is a compact liner lock folder built for everyday carry, an ESEE design sold under the BRK name. This version pairs a 2.75" satin D2 spear point blade with a brown Micarta handle and a tip-up, right-hand pocket clip, at just 2.15 oz. It's slim enough to ride in any pocket, desk drawer, nightstand, or backpack.
D2 tool steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium steel known for holding an edge well through everyday cutting. The flat-ground spear point puts the tip at the center of the blade for precise, controlled cuts, and the thin 0.08" stock slices cleanly through packages, cord, and food prep. The brown Micarta handle has a warm, classic look and a textured feel that grips well in the hand.
- Blade: 2.75" D2 tool steel spear point, satin finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.08" thick.
- Handle: Brown Micarta, 0.45" thick.
- Deployment + Lock: Manual folding knife with a liner lock.
- Carry: 2.15 oz, 3.625" closed, 6.25" open, with a tip-up, right-hand carry pocket clip.
Ideal for: everyday carriers who want a thin, pocketable folder; home users who want a handy knife for small cutting and slicing tasks; and buyers who prefer the classic look of a Micarta handle.
Care: D2 is a tool steel, not fully stainless. It resists staining better than plain carbon steel but can still spot or rust if left wet. Wipe the blade dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it.

Churp Brown Micarta: Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about the Churp folding knife with a satin D2 spear point blade and brown Micarta handle (BRKC2).
What kind of lock does the Churp use?+
It uses a liner lock. When the blade opens, a spring-tensioned steel liner inside the handle moves behind the blade to hold it securely open. To close it, push the liner aside with your thumb and fold the blade closed, keeping your fingers clear of the blade's path.
What kind of blade does the Churp have?+
It has a 2.75-inch D2 tool steel spear point blade, 0.08 inch thick, with a satin finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge.
What is included with the Churp?+
The knife comes with its pocket clip installed for tip-up, right-hand carry. No sheath is included. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.
How is the Micarta version different from the other Churps?+
This version uses a brown Micarta handle with a warm, classic look and a textured grip. The blade and lock are the same as the other Churps, which come in white (BRKC7), blue (BRKC6), and burnt orange (BRKC5) G-10, and in black carbon fiber (BRKC3). All are available at Knifeworks. Knife laws vary by location, so check your local laws on blade length and carry.
Will the D2 blade rust?+
It can. D2 is a high-carbon tool steel, not fully stainless. It resists staining better than plain carbon steel, but it can still spot or rust if left wet. Wipe the blade dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it.
Who provides the warranty, and where is it made?+
Warranty coverage is provided by the manufacturer, not Knifeworks. Contact the manufacturer for current warranty terms and service. The Churp is made in China.
