Product Description
The Case Axe Handle is Case's most significant new pattern in years, and the peach seed jig dark red bone variant is where tradition runs deepest. Dark red bone with carbon steel is one of Case's most iconic and enduring combinations — it has been part of the Case lineup for generations — and putting it on the all-new Axe Handle pattern gives you something that feels simultaneously brand new and like it has always existed. Co-designed with Bill Ruple, one of America's most celebrated custom knifemakers, this knife honors 135 years of Case craftsmanship while introducing a genuinely fresh profile built for everyday carry.
The 3.05-inch clip point blade is ground from carbon steel and brought to a mirror polish. Carbon steel sharpens to a keener edge than stainless and responds beautifully to a strop, making it the preferred steel for knife enthusiasts who enjoy maintaining their blades. With regular light oiling and wiping dry after use, a carbon steel Case knife will last multiple lifetimes and develop a distinctive patina that tells the story of its use. The axe handle profile — inspired by the shape of a traditional axe handle — gives the knife a comfortable, natural-in-hand silhouette with a compact 4-inch closed length that slips easily into any pocket.
The peach seed jigged dark red bone handle scales are textured in Case's peach seed pattern, a jigging style that gives the bone a tighter, more refined texture than gator jig or corn cob patterns. Nickel silver bolsters and the Case XX diamond shield complete the classic American presentation. The BR'135 pattern stamp marks this as a debut pattern — BR for Bill Ruple, 1 for Case's first in-line collaboration with him, and 35 for his 35 years of custom knifemaking. As an authorized Case dealer, Knifeworks ships every Axe Handle fast.
