Product Description
The Case Cheetah Cub 10812 returns from the Case XX Vault for 2026, bringing back a compact pattern known for its slim profile and Case's signature swing guard. First introduced in 2005 as a scaled-down version of the original Cheetah, it trims the frame to 3 1/2 inches closed. This version wears Peach Seed jigged Amber Bone, a handle combination Case calls the heart of its line.
The 2.73" clip blade is made of Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel, a high-carbon stainless steel that Case says holds an edge longer than conventional steel while resisting corrosion. It's mirror polished and embellished, and the clip point gives a fine tip for detail work along with a useful belly for everyday cuts.
- Blade: 2.73" Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel clip blade, mirror-polished, embellished.
- Handle: Peach Seed jigged Amber Bone with an embellished shield; 3.5" closed, 1.9 oz.
- Deployment + Lock: Nail nick opening with Case's signature swing guard; a Back Lock holds the blade open.
- Carry: Compact pocket carry with no clip, similar in size to the Case Mini CopperLock.
Ideal for: Case collectors tracking the 2026 Vault releases; traditional knife fans who want a compact clip blade with a swing guard; and anyone who likes the classic look of jigged Amber Bone.
Case says the Cheetah Cub is available for a limited time in 2026 as part of the Vault program. Bone is a natural material, and each knife is hand-crafted, so color and jigging vary from knife to knife.
The Case Cheetah Cub in Peach Seed jigged Amber Bone (10812) is made in Bradford, Pennsylvania, USA, and ships same or next business day from Columbia, Louisiana.
Case Cheetah Cub: Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about the Case Cheetah Cub (10812).
What lock does the Case Cheetah Cub 10812 use?+
The Cheetah Cub uses a Back Lock. When the blade opens, a spring-loaded bar in the spine of the handle drops into a notch in the blade tang and holds it securely. To close, press the exposed end of the lock bar on the back of the handle and fold the blade, keeping your fingers clear of the edge.
What is the swing guard on the Cheetah Cub?+
The swing guard is one of the Cheetah pattern's signature features. It is a hinged guard near the front of the handle that swings into place when the blade is open, helping keep your fingers from sliding forward toward the edge. It is part of what makes the Cheetah pattern instantly recognizable.
What is the Case XX Vault, and how long will the Cheetah Cub be available?+
The Case XX Vault brings retired patterns back for a limited run. Case says the Cheetah Cub, first introduced in 2005 as a scaled-down version of the original Cheetah, returns in 2026 in a range of handle options for a limited time before heading back into retirement.
What is Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel, and how do I care for the bone handle?+
Tru-Sharp is Case's high-carbon surgical stainless steel, which Case says holds an edge longer than conventional steel while resisting corrosion. Wipe the blade clean and dry after use, and add a drop of oil to the joint now and then. The Amber Bone handle is a natural material, so keep it out of long soaks in water and away from high heat, and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.
What comes with the Case Cheetah Cub 10812?+
The 10812 ships boxed as the knife alone, with no sheath or clip included. Packaging and included items are set by Case and are subject to change.
