The ESEE RAT locking carabiner is a basic connector used by the RAT team for recreational climbing, caving, and canyoneering, as well as lightweight rescue work. It has been tested in accordance with EN 12275:98, the European standard for mountaineering connectors.
The locking gate adds security for rope work and anchoring, and the anodized gold finish makes it easy to pick out on a harness or gear loop.
