The Hogue Saxum 24690-LIM is the Damascus and Kingwood configuration of Jim Bruhns' Collector Series Saxum — and it is the more visually striking of the two Collector Series variants. Damascus steel with a pattern that varies per knife paired with Kingwood inserts that vary in grain and figure per knife: no two are identical. Where the CPM MagnaMax version (24691-LIM) is precision and uniformity, the Damascus Kingwood is character and individuality.

The blade is ground from Damascus steel — a forge-welded composite of multiple steel layers etched to reveal the pattern created by the lamination. Damascus blades combine the properties of their component steels and carry a visual identity that no single-composition steel can replicate. At 57-59 HRC and 0.125" thick, the drop point blade is well-suited for daily EDC tasks with the hand-sharpened and honed edge that is the Collector Series standard. The Damascus pattern on your knife will vary from the product photography — each piece is unique in its layer expression. Bronze anodized titanium thumb studs warm the palette against the Damascus and Kingwood, and the thrust bearing system produces the same smooth, consistent opening action as the rest of the Saxum platform.

The frame is matte black 6061-T6 hard anodized aluminum — aircraft-grade aluminum with a precision hard anodize deeper and harder than standard anodize. The Kingwood inserts are a natural wood — dense, fine-grained, and rich in warm reddish-brown tones that develop character with handling. Like the Damascus pattern, the Kingwood grain is unique to every individual knife. A deep carry tip-up right-hand pocket clip completes the carry package at 2.5 oz and 4.0" closed.
