The Microtech Dirac is Microtech's first double-action OTF with a cover-firing slider. This Signature Series version pairs a 2.92" M390MK double-edge dagger blade with a Sand Dune Camo finish on a compact 2.37 oz aluminum handle.
M390MK is Microtech's designation for its M390 powder-metallurgy stainless steel, known for strong edge retention and good corrosion resistance. In practice, that means a blade that stays sharp through long stretches of use and resists rust with basic care. The flat-ground dagger blade is 0.12" thick and sharpened on both edges. Microtech gave the Dirac a curved, ergonomic chassis similar to its HALO, built with Microtech's proprietary hardware, internal mechanism, and a glass breaker.

The Dirac is a double-action out-the-front (OTF) knife, so the blade slides straight out of the front of the handle. Its cover-firing slider both deploys and retracts the blade with one hand. Keep your fingers clear of the front of the handle when deploying.
How should I handle and sharpen a double-edge dagger blade?＋
Both edges of the Dirac's blade are sharp, so there is no safe spine to rest a finger on. Handle it with extra care when cleaning or closing. When sharpening, work each edge separately at a consistent angle.
