The Microtech UTX-70 Gen IV is a compact double-action out-the-front automatic designed by Anthony Marfione, built as a scaled-down version of Microtech's proven UTX platform without giving up the fit and finish the brand is known for. At just 1.2 oz, it's light enough to forget you're carrying it until you need the fast, one-hand deployment an OTF provides.
The 2.50" blade is proprietary Böhler M390MK stainless steel, a super-premium powder steel prized for exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance, ground into a double-edge Spartan profile, a tanto-dagger hybrid shape with a stonewashed finish. The knife fires and retracts via double-action OTF deployment, giving full control over both opening and closing with a single slide of the fire control.
The handle is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, finished in blue anodizing, and includes bead-blasted upgraded Torx hardware and a titanium tip-down ambidextrous pocket clip. A low-profile steel pocket glass breaker is built into the tail of the handle for emergency use.

Microtech Knives covers their products with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Every authentic Microtech knife is guaranteed to be free of defects in materials and factory workmanship for the life of the original owner. If the internal firing mechanism, spring system, or blade chassis fails due to a manufacturing defect, Microtech will repair or replace the tool. On out-the-front (OTF) models like the UTX-70, Microtech fully covers the dynamic internal springs and action blocks under normal operational use. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, rust, blade sharpening maintenance, or cosmetic scratches from carry. Damaging the tool through misuse, such as prying with the tip, using the handle as a hammer, or throwing the knife, voids the warranty. Gen IV models feature standard Torx hardware for basic surface cleaning; however, fully disassembling the internal spring-actuated firing drive train or attempting self-repair can void warranty coverage if components are damaged or reassembled incorrectly.
