Product Description
Opinel Knives No 08 Carbon Steel Folding Knife (OP113080) 1.36" Clip Point XC90 High Carbon Steel Plain Blade, Varnished Beech Wood Handle
The No.08 Carbon Steel knife has been cherished since 1890 when Joseph Opinel created it as a portable and useful tool. Since then, it has become widely recognized worldwide, praised in museums, books and galleries. This model is the perfect size for your pocket or bag and conveniently features the Virobloc® safety ring. People from all walks of life utilize this folding knife, from explorers to chefs to farmers, making it an important all-encompassing tool. Whether you're looking to sharpen a pencil or prune your roses, the No. 08 will come in handy!
Hand wash only. Do not immerse your knife in water, as this could warp the wooden handle. Do not wash the carbon blade by running it under water, simply wipe it down after use. If wet, immediately dry the carbon blade with a soft, dry towel. Lubricating the carbon blade with a food safe oil before closing the knife is recommended (this prevents oxidation). Over time, carbon steel can develop a patina and may possibly show some corrosion, depending on use.
