The blade is SK4 high-carbon steel with a hard chrome plating — SK4 is a Japanese Industrial Standard high-carbon tool steel that holds a precise tooth geometry through repeated cutting cycles, and the chrome plating resists both rust and resin build-up from green wood and sap-heavy material. The MIRAI-ME tooth design cuts four angles per tooth on a non-set geometry — rather than bending alternate teeth outward to create kerf width, MIRAI-ME achieves a smooth cut through precision-ground tooth geometry, producing a cleaner cut surface with less fiber tearing than a traditional set-tooth saw. The large/coarse tooth configuration runs 7.5 teeth per 30mm and cuts aggressively through fresh green wood and limb material.

The thumb-lever lock mechanism locks the blade in two open positions — a standard in-line position for conventional pull cuts and a flush/overhead cutting angle for cuts above shoulder height or in tight clearance situations.
