Perfection!
What a fantastic knife this is if you like a bigger edc knife. Extremely comfortable in hand and equally as comfortable when you choke up and use the choils. Incredible to own a knife this size and you can hardly tell it's in your pocket (weight wise) It does take up a bit of pocket space, but that's fine with me. More than one pocket in a pair of pants! The BD1 steel isn't the greatest steel, but will hold an edge for awhile with typical rope/cardboard cutting tasks. The advantage I see in BD1 over S30V, S90V, S110V is that you can get a razor sharp edge on it within minutes. The others will take you some time to get a hair shaving edge. I love the pocket clip as well, very discreet carry. Sounds like the first reviewer on this knife did indeed get a lemon because my ball bearing lock works amazingly smooth. About as smooth as the compression lock on my Sage 5 or even the Axis lock on Benchmades. All I did is add a couple small drops of Kroil to the bearing and played around with it for a few days, adjusted the pivot screw ever so slightly and blade drops back in with a simple flick of the wrist when pulling down on the lock tabs. This didn't effect the perfect centering of the blade either. I absolutely love this knife!
