CPM SPY27 is Spyderco's proprietary stainless steel, developed with Crucible Industries. Spyderco describes it as the VG-10 formula with more carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium, plus added niobium and nitrogen, with cobalt as its signature element, made with Crucible's particle metallurgy process.
