The Benchmade Bailout 537-09 is the premium material configuration of the Bailout platform — M390 powder-metallurgy stainless in a tanto profile, stonewash finish, and carbon fiber handle that puts this in the performance tier above the standard Bailout without adding carry weight. At approximately 2.7 oz it remains one of the lightest full-size AXIS Lock tanto folders available.

The blade is M390, Böhler-Uddeholm's premium stainless that outperforms CPM-S30V and CPM-S35VN in edge retention and wear resistance at comparable corrosion resistance levels. M390 in a tanto profile means a blade that holds a precise, long-lasting edge on both the primary and secondary bevel while the reinforced tanto tip concentrates mass for penetration tasks where a drop point would deflect. The stonewash finish hides carry wear and reduces reflectivity for low-profile tactical and duty carry. Carbon fiber handle scales deliver rigidity with almost no weight penalty — stiffer than most polymer handles, lighter than aluminum, and visually distinct with the woven texture. AXIS Lock deploys and closes one-handed from either side; reversible tip-up clip for ambidextrous carry.
