The Benchmade Auto Presidio II is a full-size automatic folder built around the same AXIS Lock mechanism Benchmade uses across its manual lineup — thumb-button deployment with one-handed AXIS close, in a 3.72-inch CPM-S30V blade designed for buyers who want automatic speed without stepping down in steel or lock quality.

The blade is CPM-S30V with a black coating and a combo edge — the plain portion handles slicing and detail cuts, the serrated section covers rope, webbing, and material that resists a plain edge under pressure. The modified drop point profile balances tip strength with a usable belly. Black 6061-T6 aluminum handle scales keep the weight down at 3.60 oz while providing a rigid, corrosion-proof chassis. The AXIS Lock secures the blade open and closes it with the same bilateral thumb-and-forefinger motion as Benchmade's manual folders — no blade exposure on the close stroke.
