The Benchmade Mini Narrows 743BK-01 is the all-black configuration of the compact titanium Narrows platform — 20CV powder-metallurgy stainless with a DLC coating, black anodized titanium scales, in the same 2.98-inch AXIS Lock format as the 743, for buyers who want the Mini Narrows in a low-profile, minimal-reflectivity presentation.

The blade is 20CV, Carpenter Technology's powder-metallurgy stainless that is chemically identical to Böhler M390 — the same premium edge retention and wear resistance as M390, the same fine ceramic or diamond hone requirement for sharpening, in the same compact 2.98-inch blade that clears most carry-length restrictions. The DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating adds a hard, low-friction surface layer and reduces reflectivity to near zero — distinguishing this from the stonewash-finished 743 in both finish character and carry profile. The black anodized titanium handle scales carry the same weight and material advantages as the gray 743 — under 2.5 oz, stronger than aluminum, lighter than steel — in a unified all-black presentation. AXIS Lock deploys and closes one-handed from either side; reversible tip-up clip for ambidextrous carry.
