Product Description
Like the Zancudo, the Avispa folding knife was created by Mike Perrin and Jeff Randall of ESEE and Randall's Adventure & Training (RAT), and has their full support.
Avispa, which means "wasp" in Spanish, has a tried-and-true blade shape similar to that of the Laser Strike fixed blade — similar to but larger than the Zancudo. This premium version steps up to a black carbon fiber and G-10 handle with a steel frame lock rear.
The blade is ground from D2 tool steel, stonewash finished, with a flat grind and plain edge.
- Blade: D2 tool steel (54-61 HRC), stonewash finish, flat-ground plain edge drop point — a blade shape similar to the Laser Strike fixed blade
- Handle: Black carbon fiber and G-10, steel frame lock
- Construction: Folding knife, tip-up/tip-down ambidextrous carry
- Carry: 4.51 oz, 5.00" closed length
Buyers who want the Avispa in a premium carbon fiber and G-10 build, upgraded from the standard polymer handle, for a larger alternative to the Zancudo.
