This Orange version packs an ESEE Candiru knife in Desert Tan with tools for water, fire, signaling, navigation, and gathering food, all organized in a large RAT tin.
The kit centers on the ESEE Candiru, an ultra-compact fixed blade with a 2.00" 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade hardened to 55-57 HRC, a flat grind, a plain edge, and a Desert Tan finish, carried in a black polymer sheath. Around it, the kit covers each survival priority with dedicated gear: a large fire steel and waterproof matches for fire, Potable Aqua tablets and water bags for safe water, a Suunto compass and map cards for navigation, and a signal mirror, whistle, and Brite Strike lights for signaling.

How do I care for the kit and its knife?＋
The Candiru's 1095 carbon steel can rust if left wet. The Desert Tan finish helps protect the blade, but the sharpened edge and any worn spots are bare steel, so wipe it dry after use and apply a light coat of oil before storage. Check the kit periodically, keep the tin closed and dry, and replace any consumables you use, such as matches, fire tabs, water tablets, or duct tape.
