The Nyx uses CPM MagnaCut, a stainless super-steel known for strong edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. It holds up well to daily carry without the maintenance demands of older tool steels.

This SKU (H015-7A-GRN-ULTEM) features a green Ultem handle. Ultem is a lightweight, high-strength polymer used in place of the Nyx's standard aluminum handle option.

Stop firing the knife immediately and don't force the slide. Most off-track issues on OTFs come from lint, debris, or dried-out lubrication inside the channel. Fully retract the blade if possible, clear any visible debris from the blade channel with a can of compressed air, and apply a drop of OTF-specific oil along the blade spine and internal rails before slowly working the slide by hand. If the blade still won't track properly or feels gritty/misaligned, stop use and contact Heretic Knives directly through their warranty page rather than disassembling the knife yourself.

Use a lightweight, non-gumming oil made for OTF and automatic knives, such as Heretic's own OTF Lube — heavier oils and greases can attract lint and debris that jam the mechanism over time. Apply a small drop to the blade spine and visible internal rails, then cycle the action a few times to work it in. Wipe away any excess so it doesn't collect grit.
