The sheepsfoot blade profile keeps the tip blunt and controlled for precision work where a sharp point would be dangerous, and the full tang D2 tool steel construction gives it the backbone to handle demanding use day after day. The 2.375-inch D2 tool steel blade is bead blasted to a non-reflective satin-gray finish that resists glare in the field and holds up to hard use. D2 is a semi-stainless high-carbon tool steel known for exceptional edge retention and toughness — it takes a sharp edge and keeps it longer than most stainless steels, while still offering reasonable corrosion resistance with proper maintenance. The integral finger guard adds security during hard-use cutting tasks, and a built-in needle notch wrench on the blade makes changing out dull veterinary needles safe and fast when administering cattle vaccines. The natural ash wood handle scales are fitted with two mosaic pins and a large lanyard hole, giving the knife a handcrafted character that sets it apart from synthetic-handle ranch knives.

The included brown leather belt sheath is built from American vegetable-tanned and oiled split-grained cowhide and features an angled carry design that keeps the knife accessible on the hip.
